The cliff

The salt of the sea invades the brain with its dull smell
Legs dangling off the cliff
and the stars looking down.
just the waves on the beach,
a poet,
a speech.
it would be a shame to fall off,
with the stars looking down.
they would be so disappointed
if they could see it now.
