Butterfly

I’m stuck in a loop
of life and death
But through each cycle
I conquer the test

With every transformation
I’m bigger and brighter
Stronger every lifetime
One heck of a fighter

The cycle is endless
Each time a clean slate
Through every transformation
It feels like death is my fate

Then suddenly like magic
I burst into a light
Spreading out my wings to fly
Ready to take flight

A butterfly emerges
I’m full of life and roar
Emerged from the darkness
I suffer now - no more
