Our Guardian Angel

She now adjusts her halo as she is now free
She spreads her wings for all to see
She stands next to God as it should be
She's our mother, our sister, our aunt and our Nana
She gave us all the love we could handle as she was our manna
She now sits with our dear sweet Evelyn, our precious Sylvia and our strong Luther
But this is not the end because we will see her again in the future
So as she now watches over us all, we should be happy knowing that she didn't fall
She didn't fall but she rose, she rose to glory and she answered God's call
So fly high mama, fly high with Jesus for you are still with us not in flesh but in spirit and love
For you are now embracing God above....

About this poem

This poem was written after the passing of my mother. I wrote it to honor her life and her memory. She is still with me in my heart and in my soul. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
