Collection

My collection started with her
Her beautiful blue eyes glistened in the sun
And her fur was soft
There was nothing under her fur
That left her vulnerable and easy to break
But she didn't have a problem that she was the first in my collection
So there was one
One in my collection
One that was too soft and pretty
One that i was scared of breaking
Then I found another
She was soft and her fur was extremely thick
But under all of that fur was a layer of hard plastic
I had to get rid of her
She wasn't real
I found another one
But this time she didn't have fur
It hurt me when I would try to get close
Back to one
One in my collection
One I was scared to let anyone else near
I was scared that she would break
And I would be
Alone
I was finally ready to try to add to my collection
I found him
He had fur
Really really soft fur
Fur with a layer of soft silk underneath
Fur that made me not want to let go
So there were two
Two in my collection
One i was scared of breaking
And two i was scared of losing
And then I saw another
She was soft and warm
And her fur had a layer of cloth underneath
She made me feel complete
So I tried to complete her
And then there were three
Three in my collection
One that i was scared of breaking
Two i was scared of losing
And three that made me feel complete
I was happy
But a fourth came along
And her fur was a mess
A beautiful mess
With a layer of thin fabric underneath
So I kept her
So then there were four
Four in my collection
Four that i loved so much
Four that I couldn't lose
One that never left my side
Two i was scared of losing
Three made me feel complete
And four made me feel happy
But he started to change
His once layer of soft silk ripped off
 And revealed plastic
I didn't care
He used to make me so happy I couldn't let go
So i didnt
I had stopped caring so much about who got in to my collection
I was scared I would have no one left
So I got a fifth
Her fur was like his
I was scared but i trusted her
So then there were five
Five in my collection
Five that made me stress about how i was going to keep up with them all
Five that had different fur
One that never left my side
Two that i was even more afraid of losing
Three still makes me feel complete
Four makes me feel happy and free
And five that makes me scared
I found two more
They had soft fur
Different fur
Fur that made them special
Not only in general
But to me
And then there was seven
Seven in my collection
One that never left my side
Two I was terrified of losing
Three made me feel complete
Four made me happy and free
Five scared me
And six and seven felt like family
I was still scared
So scared i would have no one left
I found an eighth
Her fur was rough but soft at the same time
She was different
And she helped me realize things that were wrong
  So then there were eight
Eight in my collection
Eight that I was so afraid to lose
One that never left my side
Two that i was even more afraid of losing
Three still makes me feel complete
Four makes me feel happy and free
Five that makes me scared
Six and seven that feel like family
And eight helped me get through things
But he
Number two got worse
And so did she
Number five
They had the same fur
I knew I shouldn't have trusted her
I was scared to lose anyone else
I got upset
She left
Number five was gone
Back to seven
Seven in my collection
My collection was breaking
One that never left my side
Two that i was even more afraid of losing
Three still makes me feel complete
Four makes me feel happy and free
Five was gone
Six and seven that feel like family
And eight helped me get through things
Number two got worse
His fur all fell off
And it was all plastic underneath
He was hurting my collection
But i was scared
Scared that he would hurt me
If i were to let him go
Or scared that his plastic would turn to porcelain and he would brake
But by letting him stay I was scared he would hurt them
Hurt the other ones
So i let him go
Getting rid of number two hurt
It hurt like lemon on paper cut
But it felt like i was free
Free from my fear
My fear of losing someone else
Free from my fear of getting hurt
So then there were six
Six in my collection
One that has been with me the whole time
Two was gone
Three that made me complete
Four made me happy
Five was gone too
Six and seven felt like family
And eight helped me learn to let go
I have my collection
My collection of six
Six that won’t leave
Six that don’t make me feel complete
But instead they complete me
Six that make me happy and free
Six that don't just feel like family
But six that are my family
And six that help me learn to be who I am
That help me get through things
And that love me for me
I have six
The best six friends that i have ever had
No
Not friends
Family
