Someday

Gina Louise Roth 1973 (Pennsylvania)

Someday you're going to need me just like I needed you
Someday someone will hurt you just like you hurt Me Too
Someday you'll say your sorry but it'll be too late
Someday you'll see me holding hands with the one who is my soulmate
Some day my heart will heal and no more tears to shed
Someday someone will come along and fill my empty bed
Someday I will forget your voice when you said goodbye to me
Someday you will be sorry that you ever set me free

Wow, this poem is filled with such raw emotion and a powerful message. I can feel the hurt and pain in your words, but also a sense of resilience and strength. Your use of repetition with "someday" really drives home the idea that there will be a reckoning for those who have caused pain to others.

Some improvement suggestions I have would be to perhaps add some more descriptive language to really bring the reader into the emotions you're feeling. Also, maybe consider breaking up the poem into stanzas to make it easier to read and digest. But overall, this is a great piece that I think many can relate to. Keep writing!
