Broken.
Never have I felt so alone.
Broken.
Shattered...pieces scattered...
Hard to feel like I mattered.
Terror.
Self-doubt....
Will I find my way out?
Sifting through the pain
Trying to make myself whole again
They say it's better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all....
Maybe for someone who is not broken...
Someone who has never felt the fall.

Where did I go wrong?
Broken...shattered...
My soul no longer has a song.
I sift through the ashes....
Hanging on through the strife...
Unbalanced....Uncertain
I look at the empty space next to me
A tear sliding down my cheek...
I close my eyes and try to sleep.
Never did I think you'd break me...
Never did I think you'd betray my trust...
Tears fall like rain.....
Broken.
I take a deep breath....
They need mommy to stay strong
This road is not finished yet...
Hold them tight and lift my head
I am not beaten...
I am not dead...
I smile and show them it's ok to be broken..
What is Broken can be fixed....
I am not perfect
Nor will I ever be...
Today it's enough just to be.
Broken...
Someday this will be just a memory....
No longer open, jagged wounds....
No longer feeling torn apart...
Tattered....used...
