Sugar
Lena had always been a baker. Ever since she was a little girl, she would spend hours in the kitchen, mixing and measuring ingredients until she had created something delicious. But her true passion was for sugar. She loved the way it could transform any recipe, adding sweetness and depth of flavor. So it was no surprise that when Lena opened her own bakery, she made sure that every recipe had just the right amount of sugar. Her cakes were fluffy and light, her cookies were chewy and sweet, and her pastries were flaky and buttery. One day, Lena decided to experiment with a new recipe. She had heard about a type of sugar that was supposed to be even better than the regular stuff, and she was eager to try it out. So she mixed it into her batter and put it in the oven. looked perfect. The top was golden brown, and the edges were just starting to pull away from the sides of the pan. But when she took a bite, she was disappointed. The sugar had overwhelmed the other flavors in the cake, making it cloyingly sweet. Lena realized that sometimes, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. So she went back to her old recipe, the one that had served her well for years. And even though it wasn’t new or exciting, it was tried and true. And that was all Lena needed to keep her customers coming back for more.
