Some Day

some day we may rise again
shake old dust from dusty brims
saddle up, and test the wind
reins in hand, ride off to start again

until then we will stay in this ol' town
where we got lost, one day when we
was out a 'riding north, lookin' for
for the next compass on to heaven

our luck run out and so did cash
we had to stay and work the ranch
roundin' up the oddball chaff that
blew from morn to night, no remedy
