Love Is the Light That Guides Us Through

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

Love, oh love, a wondrous thing,
A feeling that makes our hearts sing.
It starts with a spark, a tiny flame,
And soon it grows, impossible to tame.

Love is patient, love is kind,
It's the bond that ties two hearts in bind.
It's the smile that lingers on our face,
The warm embrace that can't be replaced.

Love can be gentle, love can be fierce,
It can bring us joy, it can bring us tears.
It's the comfort we feel in each other's arms,
The shelter that protects us from all harms.

Love can be sweet, love can be bitter,
It can make us soar, it can make us quiver.
It's the passion that burns within our soul,
The anchor that keeps us from losing control.

Love is the light that guides us through,
The force that helps us start anew.
It's the connection that unites us all,
The foundation on which we stand tall.

So let love be your guide, let love be your friend,
Let love be the path that you follow till the end.
For love is the essence of life itself,
The treasure that's worth more than all the wealth.
