Hope

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

Hope is the light that guides us through the dark,
A flame that flickers but never fades.
It whispers to us in our deepest despair,
And fills our hearts with the courage to dare.

Hope is the voice that whispers in our ear,
When all we hear is the deafening silence of fear.
It speaks of a future bright and clear,
A world where love and joy are near.

Hope is the hand that reaches out to us,
When we are lost in the depths of despair.
It lifts us up and helps us to trust,
That tomorrow holds promise beyond compare.

So let us hold on to hope with all our might,
And let its warmth and light guide us through the night.
For in its embrace, we can find the strength to fight,
And rise above the darkness into a brand new light.

Hope is the light that shines in the dark,
A beacon of strength, a powerful spark,
It lifts us up when we're feeling down,
And gives us the courage to stand our ground.

Hope is the voice that whispers in our ear,
Telling us to never give in to fear,
It fills us with faith and the belief,
That we can overcome any hardship or grief.

Hope is the rainbow after the rain,
A symbol of promise, of joy and of gain,
It reminds us that even in the darkest of days,
There's a brighter tomorrow that awaits.

So hold on to hope with all your might,
For it will guide you through the darkest night,
And lead you to a place of peace and light,
Where everything will be alright.
