Only You

Christina Shanell 1975 (Baltimore)

Poem- Only You
For my future King

I don't know how to explain it,
If your heart could truly see,
How much love I have to give
to only you from only me.

I look forward to seeing the smile that belongs to only you,
When I see you the first time I will blush, and slick stare too

The day you put your arms around me, my heart will skip a beat, I wish you only knew you have the power to sweep me off my feet.

When you wrap your arms around me for just a simple hug, I would want to stay in that moment forever, and enjoy the feeling of that love

When our lips come together, and we share a simple kiss, Nothing or no one around us will matter
because nothing will be sweeter than this

I can't figure out just what it is, but there’s definitely something strong, I need to get you out my head, so Im not thinking about you all day long
