Confused About Adoption

I now have a new mom and dad.
 I feel all alone and very sad.
 For years I blocked out, of how I was sold.
 For two hundred bucks, like a piece of gold.
 But there is something that you just don't see.
 That there is a difference between gold and me.
 Gold you treasure, and can wear everyday.
 I can be born, and then given away.
 Time has passed, and now I have grown.
 How will I make it , all on my own ?
 I guess I will do the best that I can.
 Even though life,  I don't understand.
 But someday the memories will all come back.
 And I will be the train that fell off the track.
