The Warmth I felt

I see the rays of my sun,
So do others.
I adored its warmth.
It filled my heard with joy.
My sun’s presence made my sorrows disappear.
Others were envious of the warmth I felt.
I was afraid to share it,
For it may end up slowly fading away.
……………
“Do you still feel the warmth of your sun?” They asked
Mockingly.
“No” I said.
For what I had feared the most came to life.
I was still but beneath, I was seething with pique
The feeling of dread starts to set in.
My sun is no longer mine
The thoughts of other’s feeling such warmth irked me, in the end.
I face the cold winter storms
without the warmth of my sun to keep me warm.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I have experienced the feeling of loneliness and loosing someone that once loved being happy with other people and you know that they will never be your again.
