The Outer Workings of Cocoa Cooper

The Outer Workings of Cocoa Cooper

I see her smile, even when I push my head into her hand
And run around her three times I finally plop down in front of her toes
And push against those diddly pinkies, and brush her foot
Not one to laugh too much.
I stretch up and reach, those hands of hers

She wiggles and giggles and picks me up in those mountainous hands
And then pushes me off the bed that late at night, by her toes
Then she brushes me with her little fat feet
Then only to laugh too much.
And like a motor I purr.

And then off she runs away from me
Into the living room to find who?
Cocoa Cooper who is me,
Oh I’d rather climb up a tree!

She wiggles and giggles oft times with glee
Oh how I love to make her happy!

About this poem

I have a cat named Cocoa Cooper who is a sweet heart, and acts like a teddy bear. He is such a riot!
