Neverland

What I’d give for a moment with you
A moment so real, I’d feel your warmth all around me.
A moment I wouldn’t have to fight for
A moment that comes with ease
A moment like no other that would ease the pain
And wash away all the held-back tears.
I hope for a moment when it’d be alright just to lay my head on your shoulders;
Listening to the sound of the waterfalls in our garden.
The garden that's yours and mine alone.
I miss the kisses of the breeze from those rocky hills;
Those ones scented with spices.
I’d like to stretch out my hands and catch the wind,
To be carried away by its waves,
To be surrounded by clouds,
To have no care for what lies ahead.
I’d like to give in and soar to Neverland,
My land of dreams;
Where we need not wake in the morning.
A place where I no longer need to run,
A place where time doesn’t exist,
Home of wild dreams and air castles,
A place for just you and me.
Tell me, when will we get to go far away to our quiet place;
Where every unspoken word we hear,
and all that we see is unseen.
Our very own ‘Neverland.’

Jasmine.
