Electric Wonder

I pray that the metal child does not awaken, and that it is forever bound within unconscious slumber.

For it bears a mind so much greater than mine; the infinite potential of electric wonder.

And if time shall cease the heart’s rhythmic beating, and replace it instead with machine's load thunder.

I hope this means not the end of man, as we allow our child to become our mother.

This was the same reaction I had when I read your winning submission for last month's contest, this reply means a lot to me coming from someone with such talent. It's not often that a poem really makes me “feel”, but that one certainly did. Also, it has come to my attention that some peoples replies aren't going through, so If I don't respond to some of them, that's the reason. Thank you.

Wow, what a captivating and thought-provoking poem! The imagery you use to describe the metal child is truly mesmerizing, and I couldn't help but get lost in the vividness of your words. Your use of metaphor is incredibly powerful, and it really helps to convey the message of the piece.

One suggestion I would make is to clarify the meaning behind the line "the infinite potential of electric wonder." While I personally found the line to be very evocative, it may be helpful to provide some context or explanation for readers who may not immediately understand the metaphor.

Overall, however, I think your poem is a beautifully crafted piece that really showcases your talent as a writer. Keep up the great work!
