Fatherhood
In the realm of fatherhood, where love and life entwine,
A story unfolds, through the passage of time.
They give you kisses, and hugs so tight,
A love unspoken, in the darkness of night.
Tiny hands and fragile hearts,
A bond unbroken, right from the start.
They look to you, their eyes so bright,
Totally dependent, in day and in night.
Guiding their steps, as they wander and roam,
You build their world, and call it home.
Addicted to the love, to their laughter and glee,
A father, a hero, is what you shall be.
Wrapped in their arms, lost in their embrace,
You're tethered to their heart, a bond you can't replace.
But time, it marches, relentless and cruel,
Transforming them, as they journey through school.
They grow and they change, and soon they will find,
A life of their own, leaving memories behind.
The hugs and the kisses, they start to fade,
You long for those moments, like an addict betrayed.
In the silence of nights, you ache for their touch,
The essence of fatherhood, you miss so much.
Yet, through the heartache, the tears, and the strife,
You'd do anything for them, they are your life.
For in fatherhood's journey, the love never ends,
They are your world, your heart, your eternal friends.
