Matters of the Heart

I lay and watch the storm hit my window.
Now I must rise, from my rain soaked pillow.
I wait and I watch for the sun to come out,
I hope and I pray, and I scream and I shout.
But the clouds just get darker, the wind starts to blow.
The ache in my heart is all that I know.
And then she comes and sits with me,
The most beautiful dove that I ever did see.
1 look into her eyes of brown,
And see her soul and royal crown.
We speak about the wind and rain, And clouds that form and cause us pain.
And hopes and dreams and all that be
Along our path, our destiny.
Then as we speak the sky turns blue,
The sun shines bright, the day anew.
I know that dove I'll never leave,
She heals my soul, for her I breathe.
