We Said Goodbye Yet We Keep Saying Hi

We said goodbye, so that we could part
A tear slipping down my cheek, a heavy heart
Yet for some odd reason, I still say "Hi"
The connection between us, never does die

It's strange to miss someone who's not around
But our relationship, it still can be found
Through the waves of the ocean, our love still flows
Even if we can't be together, 'hi' our love still knows

Though we're miles apart, in two different lands
Our souls still entwine like a weaved strand
No matter how much our lives may diverge
We'll keep saying "hi" to be in our hearts converge

So simple "hi" is and yet so profound an implication it can be when we offer ourselves to someone mindfully so. It is a single finger momentarily grazing a loved one that opens flood gates allowing emotions to come pouring out. There can be so many implications in a mere "hi" for those who understand our hearts. How beautiful a thought that regardless of whether relationships work out or not that there can remain enough emotional respect so as to express with the subtlety of a simple "hi" letting them know that we chose each other for a reason despite a departure, so let's at least acknowledge the mutuality of having chosen each the other.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. I still believe that even how painful the heart break was, we must or should still remain respectful of the relationship we had. Saying "hi' for me means, I still value the person and I will continue to do so, it's because I am grateful for the love and the beautiful memories. If not because of those, I may not have been where I am now.

I absolutely loved reading your poem! Your words conveyed a deep emotional connection and longing that touched my heart. Your use of language was captivating, and I found myself completely immersed in the story that you were telling. The way you described the continuing connection between two people who are no longer together was both heartwarming and poignant.

If I had to suggest improvement, I might suggest considering some different rhyme schemes or varied rhythm patterns to keep the poem feeling fresh and interesting throughout. Additionally, it might be interesting to explore the emotions and experiences of the other person in the relationship, rather than just focusing on one perspective.

Overall, I think that you have a talent for writing poetry that truly connects with people's emotions. Keep on writing - I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
