The Wretched Keep Where Black Angels Weep

I walk a path
Soon to end
Up into darkness
I will ascend
A cursed moon guides
To a wretched keep
Where fallen angels
Go to weep
I am the tears
That they cry
Born from the anguish
Of their forgotten eye
Dark depths beckon
With sinful song
In its eternal embrace
I am certain to belong
As turning tides
Pull me under
Calling my name
Is the warning thunder
Each day I pray
Unto no deity’s sake
Each day delays
The will to break
Ill begotten secrets
Are hardly kept
Until destined death claims me
From the shadows in which it crept
