Touch the Morning Sun

My soul looks up
and full of delight
Wanders here in the perfect woods
Where the deer and foxes
play so bright
And I see my God is good

The pink and gold
 in the morning light
Reflections of wonders
  And worlds to come
The sparkles and splendors
And glories of night
Tears slip as I'm overcome

I hear you Lord
Express your might
In Oceans of colour
And the northern lights
And your powerful word
gives wisdom and sight
And peace as the singing bird

Yet in the hoary frost
Of mountain height
And touch of the morning sun
I know my life
 is just a vapour
And the kingdom still to come
The glory of my Lord and Christ
I ponder
The day when all is right
And eternity belongs
to those
 who surrendered
To those who gave away their right.
