One Step

Have you ever stopped to notice,
Each step you take to truth,
Within a world that's broken,
Hearts yearn for a form of proof,
Tomorrow brings a destiny,
A world as of yet not forged,
So step into the future,
With a promise for us all.

One step to a heart,
Two steps to a dream,
Three steps for tomorrow,
As wishful as it seems,
Four steps are a promise,
Five steps to pastures new,
Six steps to a new beginning,
Within a world that is brand new.

Have you ever made a wish,
For a brighter world filled with love,
To bring about a passion,
A change for the greater good,
Can you see a form of kindness,
This world has never seen,
Will you make a difference,
Or will you live your life in dreams.

One step to a heart,
Two steps to a dream,
Three steps for tomorrow,
As wishful as it seems,
Four steps are a promise,
Five steps to pastures new,
Six steps to a new beginning,
Within a world that is brand new.

Destiny is calling,
Screaming out your name,
Before the flames of fate appear,
Burning everything but your name,
Embrace the fires of hope,
For they lead you upon your way,
Welcome to the step of fate,
As you walk into a brand new day.
