You & Autumn & Tennessee

As the wind in the willow
Shakes the leaves
Earths golden retreat
Orange and crimson pillows
Colors brilliant on the trees
Waiting for the slightest breeze.

Summer is gone
We’re coming home
Cool morning mountain air
Fills the Hickory trees.

Experience fall
We take our chance!
We loved to watch
As the leaves
Twirled their own dance.
Just gotta believe
In our true romance.

Jack o lanterns candy corn
Butternut squash blueberries
God blessed the day you were born
There’s pumpkin pie in the oven
God blessed the day you were born
Take my hand we’ll always be lovin
We’ll watch the harvest moon

As the leaves gently fall
What I miss most of all
Are you & autumn  & Tennessee
