Roses So Elegant

I looked out my window,
the dark sky, the angry rain
I looked out my window
perfect flowers standing in pain.

I looked out my window,
red roses with so much to mourn
I looked out my window,
on them the green thorns.

I looked out my window,
they looked back at me
I looked out my window,
a sense of glee.

About this poem

The red roses so perfect and still, not a cry nor a frown, they swayed elegantly, not letting us know of their misery. 14/3/2023
