Vanity Fair
You know all we have is sinful compromise
But I love the taste of our bittersweet merlot
Wrap myself up getting lost in your vines
A tragic embrace for all our tomorrows
You see things within me undercover
I see things within you to be discovered
Once it was love, but we call it something other
The feeling remains like it was never another
All that we are is enchanted by magic
I don't know what it is, but we have it
I don't want to lose it, undetected madness
I wanna hold on to you, chase the static
Carry me through the lonely nights
Tell me that everything will be alright
Make me believe it's only the two of us
In this world where we crave wanderlust
I'll never say what's already there
We both know what lingers in the air
Chases us beyond the ways we care
Eager to break the boundaries of our affair
