Wind

Not a single day goes by where I wonder,
How I will feel on the next
All that my feelings can be are asunder
Is it the people that make me so vexed?

“Who are the people?”, I cry,
To no avail
The days become lethal
The wind leaves a trail
It follows, I cannot escape

For it knows what I do
It knows what I am
A reflection of you
That’s all I can be

“Is it me at wrong?”, I scream,
To no avail
My heart becomes frail
The wind’s trail has caught up

It consumes all of my morals

I surrender to the tides of wind and change,
At last, it’s time to give in
So why do I feel something new? Something strange?
The wind judges from within

But all that I am
Is a reflection of you
And that’s all I can be

Yet hope flows through every one of my veins
I know my time is not now
I attempt to free myself through strains,
But the wind has seen it all
He sends me off with a gust, I allow
I have never felt so small.
