Where I sat

Nicole Maldonado 1987 (Miami FL)

Where I sat when I loved who I was, where I sat when I knew who I was, where I sat when my love ran freely from me to you, where I sat you never knew. It wasn't a lack of words that kept you, it wasn't that you didn't know, you knew! It wasn't that I didn't show, you flew! Where I sat no longer I sit because that seat doesn't exist. Where I sat, I can never sit as much as I wish.

About this poem

This is a poem about losing one's self identity in the midst of loving someone else and giving them all of you. Having that love abused and unreciprocated To the point that you can no longer recognize who you are.
