What would you say

What do you say When you put yourself in a hard place
daily you dream of her, like you're dreaming about outer space.
at first you thought it was just an Distraction,
now you realize it's more than a sexual attraction.
the beauty you see when you look in her eyes,
is the kind of beauty you see me within morning sky
the way that she makes you feel everyday
remind you of being young as a child when you used to play.
you tell yourself you knew better what were you thinking
Or is it possible you can catch feelings without even blinking
You guarded yourself all your life
afraid to let others in, Afraid to be the one that made them take that dive.
so what was it about her that made it seem okay
that for once you let the child out to play
Was it the excitement of the chase
or the fact that you can simply stare into that beautiful face
Is it the fact that my kids love you
or is it the way that every day I feel brand new when by you
Never have I let someone in so close
The feeling snuck up on me in the night, like a ghost.
You know they have taught me to Challenge everything I know
I'm doing this I will be happy with running my own show
but what do you do when that one person steps in
make you second-guess everything within
The promise was made from the start
walk away clean feelings ever came from the heart
now faced with this one decision
If you care for her let her go and win by submission
Last night I had a dream
he was at me and you working as a team
that was my cue to walk away
if not the feelings will forever stay
this is my way to tell you how I feel
To let you know you really are a big deal
I would rather walk away and remain friends
going to have to give you up completely in the end
God knows if I ever have a chance
I would take your hand just for one dance
right now as i gaze out at you
I'm grateful you were by my side to help push through
only you will know that this poem is for you
we'll keep it that way no matter what we do
