The Drive

Where are we going, and why it matters
The sky runs on and on, not waiting on us to arrive
Mountains and streams we climb higher the ladder
The eagle soars above wings in ready to dive
Tides push the earth away further ,the sands resists
It matters now more than ever
Technology advances , AI raises its fist
Gift or a curse , but Mother Earth is clever

But drive on never losing sight
Drive on stopping to smell the roses
At dawn sun may shine but children are the light
Where we’re going ,the world opens and closes
Yes, Niagara Falls one of countless wonders
Red woods of California grow to reach the moon
Earth run wild, destroy aphantasia with your thunder
Internet spreads its virus spelling doom

Life happens at every chance it gets to be
God or evolve it’ll find a way
The future of this blue pearl in a Black Sea
I see it all, in the eyes, of children at play.

About this poem

Never forgetting , no matter how much things change around us, we need the earth as much as the earth needs the things in it . (Reflection while on a long drive)
