The bleeding nation

The bleeding nation

My beloved Africa
What happened to you?
What happened to Ubuntu ?
I still remember those days,
Those days where we lived
In harmony . Our nation ,
Still firmed as a rainbow nation.

Where people loved and cared about each other. Where there still existed the brother and sister code . Nowadays when I look around , the tables have turned and Ubuntu is gone.

Ubuntu has now revolutioned into hate and war. Members of the same family , plotting against and killing each other. Where neighbours have now turned into enemies . Our very own trusted community members , now harrassing and raping children .

Where men now have superior power over women and always abusing and violating them. Where drugs and clubs , have now taken over our generation . Children disobeying and disrespecting  their elders .

Where women are now given jobs through sexual harrassment and the job providers , employing their relatives . Where children now go to school for fun and not for future . Where young girls and boys rush into building families and girls having children at young ages . Where people are no longer proud of their skin and longing for the lighter .

Not to mention our cultures and heritage.
People are now ashamed of their roots ,
Their tradition and cultural attires and fully devoted into the modern fashion.
Cultures and heritage , combined with the English taste.

I mean , what is to become of us ?
You truly are diminishing and our futures are vanishing.

Heyy!! Wake up black child
Our forefathers and grandparents did not fight for this . They fought for our freedom , our education and our equality.
Let no man blind you . Let us grow south Africa .

Let us regain our dignity.
Let us erase racism and civil war.
Let Ubuntu rule.
Let us use our freedom wisely.
Let us be proud of our heritage .

Let us be proud of our cultures.
Wake up black child , for the
Future awaits and life is short.
