So Cold

I saw a girl I used to know today
She had unexpectedly come my way
I thought I would feel rage or anger inside
But all I could do was stand there and cry
Emptiness had stolen the glow from her face
She wore lines deep enough to trace
My mouth overflowed with word's
But nothing I said could be heard
Her soul was filled with so much pain
She wore many scars and blood spilled stains
Her warm brown eyes had become so cold
Washed in heat that made her icy to hold
She simply had lost all will to fight
Swallowed in darkness, she had lost all light
And suddenly it hit me I was in the room all alone
Staring at the reflection of a girl I didn't know
The mirror before me had no secret to keep
I missed the girl I had buried so deep
I missed me

I write to empty what I feel inside. Any of my work is written based on how I was feeling at that moment and is never made or thought up. Just plain raw emotion's good or bad... more…
