play pretend

Can you hold my hand
From morning to the end
So we can just pretend that this life will be our friend
But if you have to go
And leave me all alone
I just hope you know
That my love will only grow-
you remind me of sunlight
and my dreams when I sleep at night
And I've always loved you
more than you could know
But you were never really mine
and I just pray that I can get over it this time
My love am I enough
Or did I make this all up?
