Our Many Lives

Our last song
to send me along
My heart plays it's final beat
One moment we'll share
Our last memory
then silence to remain
My soul is raised
to a room in the sky
Where above you
I will keep a watchful eye
You won't see my flesh
just a grave where it resides
I will live on
 where your love for me
remains inside
This isn't our final moment
or our last lifetime
It's not an end
nor a good-bye
When yet again alive
We'll find our rhythm
to continue our next life
We will always be
together for all eternity
We are each others true love
Soulmates that won't give up

About this poem

It was written for my husband. We are bonded in every way. We finish each others sentences, think alike, love many of the same things, including music. We've known each other for 36 years, have 5 kids, 7 grandchildren. We work together, play together, live together, and enjoy our time together. He is me, and I am him. We are one, and just as in past lives, as with this one, we'll be together in the ones to follow.
