Nova

What light are you chasing at the end of the tunnel?
What salvation awaits you except death?
Haven't you seen it enough already?
People who waste their lives chasing a dream
An illusion that never ends
People who wear fancy titles around their neck
Has no one ever told you?
That one day pride will tear you down
Not that you would know
Not that you would care

Remember the days when you used to cry?
When the music sent shivers down your spine?
Where have all my feelings gone?
This emptiness is now my home

I think of the waters
The trees that used to give me life
The world I've destroyed to build my own
And you build towers for all to see

Have you forgotten the innocence of a child?
The beauty you threw away for nothing?
Today I will proclaim out loud
Nothing is what will set you free
Give up, break the cycle
And let your soul breathe
