HER by Zee

She smiles so wide, but there's more to her inside

A world of hurt and pain, that she tries to hide

She's a master at disguise, a pro at pretending

But inside, her emotions are constantly bending

She's not the person you think you know

Her smile is a mask that doesn't show

The hurt and pain she carries each day

In her heart, it never goes away

Behind her smile, there are tears to be shed

And nights where she can't sleep in her bed

But still, she keeps on smiling bright

Even though she's fighting an internal fight

So, if you know someone who smiles a lot

Remember, there's a chance they're hurting a lot

Take the time to show them that you care

And maybe, they'll feel like they can share

About this poem

This poem is about a person who appears to be happy and smiling on the outside, but inside, they are struggling with emotional pain and hurt. The person has become skilled at hiding their true feelings and putting on a facade of happiness. However, the poem reminds us that there may be more going on beneath the surface for people who seem outwardly happy, and it encourages us to show empathy and compassion to those around us who may be silently struggling with their own pain.
