Cry of Resolutions

Silky Bejwani 2008 (Bhagalpur, Bihar)

The last month of each year is filled with stages of rushing feelings,
When denial, grief, panic, acceptance & silence ring the waves of our hearing.
Each & every relation that had its end comes in like a turmoil,
The pain this heart holds becomes like a gargoyle.

The souls tends to blame others soul back lashes at a great velocity,
This soul decide to accept those and never return any to stay in authenticity.
I see this new year resolution coming towards me,
Welcoming it with open hands I cling around its neck in glee.

Those bright wishes of "Merry Christmas and New Year" approaches my gate from a few,
An eye opening resolution looks at me in an awe.
To break those dark parts and look at every one with a new shade,
I drop down the blade to look in the mirror and find my new shade.

The cry of each thread screams in the last days of this year,
Promises of forever from yesterday display its end on todays screen.
Happier than ever I see this worlds love for me,
The problem being I would never know how to differentiate between love and hate towards me.

About this poem

It's a poem about people making new year's resolutions and trying to apt those except the fact they aren't loved much in this world and are ready to take other's sadness.
