1979 taking my test for Hawaii State Prison
My life is on the line is this the reason?
Something someone awaits me
Is this really my calling to set me free?
An inmate walks by holding a Holy Bible
I ask him come here I want what he has
He replies Jesus Christ came into my heart
My Lord and Savior thirteen bibles later
Its a difference a day makes in the hereafter
Teaching me the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Oh Jesus! I needed a Savior
An alcoholic background I come from
Saved Healed from stuttering & alcohol?
That' is the God I serve today Hallelujah Amen
About this poem
1979 I worked at Hawaii State Prison. An inmate taught me the Holy Bible for six years. To God be all the Glory Honor and Praise. He is serving Life without Parole in Saguaro Prison in Eloy Arizona.
