Sharing a poem

Eileen Goldberg 1950 (Brooklyn)

Silence, loud, brilliant.
a space so huge
there is no end in sight.
Words, waiting, begging
for release,
flow so fast, it feels
so right.
No secret if you see it,
a magic, if you will,
the road so long before you
and words to page you spill.
A moment to savor, an image
to share.
Convincing your reader that
they too have been there.
Words just don’t describe it,
none seem to compare
to the joy of creating a
poem to share.
