Up the Rabbit
Up the Rabbit Hole
by Terence Cummings-Smith on February 20, 2015. © Terence Cummings Smith, All rights reserved
Given birth in Dreamland,
forty-six years ago.
White Rabbit ran free in sunlight,
danced by the light of the moon.
Sonnenkinder fed, his head.
he played the wolf by day,
cried terror in the night.
Tiger in the grass,
he lay long, in expectation.
The huntsman never came,
The grass did wither and die.
White Rabbit runs in sunshine,
dances in the moonlit night.
But for him, a cage still waits.
