Scapes

George Nurse 1966 (Georgetown)

I lay on my back on the grass in the park
And watched a cloud as it slowly passed
I wondered where it’s been....,
going....,
and why...?
Who am I among such marvels on this old eternal earth?
Rising fog, falling tide, setting sun
Why is life so wrong when everything else seem so right
Will it all be gone when memory start to fade
Will the shadows in my life ever clear
Will a fair smile release this heavy heart and set it in motion again
It’s just surreal that every thought, every turn, every curve, every corner
Lead me right back to you
And start over again.
