Desert Howl

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

The Lord is kind and gracious,
He’s loving in all His ways,
He’s the One, who does these things,
He listens to what I say.

Because I don’t speak on my own,
But through His Holy Spirit,
He takes my hand and guides me along,
His path so He may clear it.

Removing all the stumbling blocks,
That would otherwise make me fall,
I have no fear when I walk with the Lord,
Because He’s my all in all!

Moving in His mighty power,
He is my strength and my song!
O God, Lord Jesus, the Holy One,
You alone are strong!

Every time I hear His voice,
I’m longing for our home,
But now for just a little while,
It’s here that we must roam.
