Work it Out

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

The Lord works out everything, for His own ends,
Even a day of disaster for the wicked.
And never would I have to worry again,
If I could just get this through my thick head!

Why are the words that I know are the Truth,
Sometimes for me, just so hard to swallow?
If I could just live by faith and not look for proof,
Then I would never again feel so hollow!

If seeing is believing then the whole world is blind!
Lord don’t let me fall into their trap!
Jesus cover my eyes and let me be the kind,
Who will never again be turned back!
