Goodbye

Juan A Soto Jr 1969 (NY)

The sky is ablaze, as the sun begins to set,
slowly my heart grows weak
Alone with my thoughts, I sit and I wait
yearning to hear you speak
As the sun disappears, I take my last breath,
cry out, and close my eyes
The wind carries my words, from my lips
to your ears
I'm sorry. I love you. Goodbye.
