Work in progress

WORK IN PROGRESS

Life is a journey
We choose our bus stop
There’s no need for competition

Everyone is unique
Everyone is a star
There’s enough space for everyone
To manifest their greatness

I’m not a saint
I’m not perfect my dear
If you see something say something
That’s how to save a brother
You’re my eyes in my darkness

Is true that sometimes am drunk
With pride and am adamant to say
Am sorry, is true that sometimes
Am so full of myself but would you
Stand akimbo then turn your back
And watch a soul go astray or fall
In a ditch like a sheep without
a shepherd?

I’m a work in progress.

If I ever offended you
Knowingly and unknowingly
Bayara, emabinu...

See me as your brother
See me as your friend
See me as your lover
See me as your pupil

I’m a work in progress

I may have a hairy face and hairy
chest like Esau
I may be masculine like Goliath
I may have a voice like Agbero
In Lagos and Ogun State
But am still a child inside
I still dey suck breast like a day old
Babe

I’m a work in progress
I need you
You need me
We need each other
Together we can heal the world
Together we can make it a better place
I’m a work in progress.
