Professional, Mother
Do it all
Household and lover

To keep on going
Even broken
Live life
With her heart wide open

They cannot know
The strength it takes
To get up again
Carry the weights

Do the chores
That never end
Then tomorrow
Start again

About this poem

This poem was written in response to the women's rights movement in the middle east as a tribute to the reality, expectations and challenges that modern women face and the silent battles they fight through to secure their freedom.
