Our Land

                     OUR LAND
The enclave of my ancestors,
You harbour talents of different shades of wit
With undeniable imprint of greatness.
The nation’s fortress of natural resources,Lurked among the 13 kindred.
Thou shibboleth affirm the engraved nomenclature.
A serene sojourn for the aliens.
You remain a springboard of merchandise.
With thou benison proceeds are countless.
Artisans are always grinning in unison.
A mere gaze at thou terrain,Portends bumper yields from the soil.
As agrarian, famine is odd to thou lexicon.
Food is cheaply acquired to eke out living.
Is our land not so blessed?
Our land! A refuge to the displaced.
Your worth is felt in hospitality.
All boundaries leaned on you for arbitration.
Verily, the shattered mind, finds equanimity by your intercession.
Who then can doubt our civility?
Despite myriads of ethnic inclinations,
Our land is premium on tolerance.
Peaceful coexistence beams our collective thought.
Our land! Our heritage!! Our Pride!!!
