NOSTALGIA

Trishna Bora 2002 (Golaghat, Assam)

Turning through the pages of that same old diary,
Nostalgia ruled over the whole of me.
Of reckless thoughts yet confusing,
Words remained unexpressed.
Lost amidst the known spaces.

A year passed by...
The more I realised with each step we're moving far apart,
Probably you'll never find me again!

About this poem

The poem talks about some nostalgic thoughts arriving in the poet's mind as she takes out her old diary and begins reading. The poet here is a teenager who is lovelorn, confused, insecure and has a hard time confessing.
