Lady Liberty Gives Life

The soldier on the battlefield,
Laid with his comrade in pain and strife,
Says to his brother-in-arms,
God, I'm glad that I went to fight
For this is my duty I've been served
To keep my country’s freedom
That was found hundreds of years ago,
I just wish I could fight longer
But I gave my part,
Now my friend it is your turn to fight

This is the great men of ours,
Who go out and face death in the eyes,
And say through all the hardships,
“ I give my life to Lady Liberty, so she can give life to others”
