King of Composition

I write,
for all we had
was pen & pad.
For the love, the lust,
the fun, for I must.

Out of obsession, to
wander in wonder
where no other has been
& bring back tales that
have never been told

To be legendary!
I ponder & plunder,
puncture, slash & stab
every verse. I will not slumber
encumbered by doubts like
will I ever be heard?

The beast has risen.
No longer timid
broke the prison
bloomed a prism

Within it, in bloody ink
was written-
"King of Composition

Before my pages age with
ashes and coffee stains.
This much I avow

"We shall be
Infamous"

"They will build
monuments"
