Grey gust
Remembering the daytime and ice cream
The sun's silhouette on us, giggling at the birds
Then the night came and you were gone
Standing alone for a ride to home
That house so unwelcoming without your laugh
Some hostile building without your warmth
Everything so abrupt and swift
Beating me into black and blue shades
With chunks of cold love at my feet
You left my heart in the gutter, bleeding and broken
Shattering me into pieces of filth and dump
Just for me to come again back to you
Like a river which can't change its course
Like the moon every night jumping back into darkness
Like the candle burning itself to thaw others
Give, give, and give myself to you
About this poem
Traces of a love that is long gone
